The Quality of Cinema
Has anyone else noticed that movies are getting way worse? Theaters need to make more money causing them to close. Its safe to say cinema is in a blunder. The rising popularity in large streaming platforms has decreased the need for cinemas to show movies.
As you can see in the line graph, cinema attendance peaked right before the release of big streaming platforms, only to crumble a few years later due to convenience. This has ruined cinemas and can hurt movie production as well. Less incentive at the box office is a main contributor to how movies are produced and can make or break a movie.
This is why it is important to always support your local cinemas. Playing movies is very expensive, and with decreasing pay in the theater industry, every penny counts. Doing this could very well save small cinemas and ensure good theaters stay local.
